Effective date: August 20, 2026. This policy covers greaterdaytonpest.com and the booking tools embedded on it. Plain English throughout — that’s how we do everything else, too.
Who We Are
Greater Dayton Pest & Rodent LTD, 733 Salem Ave, Dayton, OH 45406 — a licensed Ohio pest control company (ODA Firm License #115079). Phone: (937) 569-3330. Questions about this policy or your information: call, text, or email us via the contact page.
What We Collect, and Why
- Information you send us: when you request a quote, apply to a program, book an inspection, or contact us, we collect what the form asks for — typically your name, phone, email, service address, and what you tell us about your pest situation or properties. We use it to respond, quote, schedule, and perform the work you asked about.
- Service records: when we perform work, we keep records of what was done — including photographs of findings and treatment areas, product and EPA registration details, and (where Ohio law requires it) pesticide application records we must retain. These records document your service, support any guarantees, and satisfy state requirements.
- Website analytics: we use Google Analytics (via Google’s Site Kit) to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, how you arrived, general location, device type. This data is aggregated; we don’t use it to identify individual visitors. Google’s handling is described in Google’s privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Cookies: the site uses cookies for analytics (above) and site performance/caching. Booking and application tools embedded from our scheduling system (app.greaterdaytonpest.com) use cookies necessary for those tools to function. Your browser settings control cookies; blocking them may limit the booking tools.
The Booking & Application Tools
Quote requests, program applications, and inspection bookings on this site are processed by our own scheduling and customer system at app.greaterdaytonpest.com (some appear on this site inside embedded frames). Information you submit there — including any property lists you upload — goes directly into our customer system, is used to provide the service you requested, and is protected in transit by encryption (HTTPS). Payment cards, when you choose to pay online, are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number — Stripe’s handling is described in Stripe’s privacy policy.
What We Don’t Do
- We don’t sell your information. To anyone. Ever.
- We don’t share it with third parties except the service providers who make our business run (scheduling/customer system, payment processing, email delivery, analytics — each bound to use it only for us), or when the law requires it (for example, Ohio pesticide-record requirements).
- We don’t send marketing you didn’t sign up for. Service communications — confirmations, reports, follow-ups about your own jobs — come with the service.
Your Choices
Ask us anytime what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete what we’re not legally required to keep (state-mandated application records have fixed retention periods we can’t shorten). Text or call (937) 569-3330 — a human answers, and the same person who treats your house can tell you exactly what’s in your file, because that’s the kind of company this is.
Housekeeping
We may update this policy as the business or the law changes; the effective date above moves when we do. This site links to other sites (state license lookups, our insurance-agency neighbors, Wikipedia-hosted images); their policies are their own. If you comment on any page that allows it, standard WordPress comment handling applies (your comment, name, and email are stored; your IP is used for spam screening).
